2016-17 Sarah Kelly McCabe (N0 62)

Sarah G. Kelly (1961-) is a Galway-based architect with a long-standing association with the O'Malley Clan.
In 2016, she served as Chieftain of the O'Malley Clan, continuing a distinguished family legacy of leadership. She followed in the footsteps of her mother, Ann (No 44), and her grandfather, Dr. Conor O'Malley (No 2), both of whom held senior roles within the Clan, including Chieftain and Guardian Chief.
As Chieftain she hosted her Gathering in the medieval Claregalway Castle , with the theme "meet your clans-folk in a Castle". It was very well attended and remembered for a dinner in the medieval castle and a great sing song late into the night
Alongside her role within the Clan, she has built a career in architecture across the west of Ireland since the early 1990s, with a strong interest in how the built environment contributes to wellbeing and community life.
She is actively engaged in cultural, professional, and charitable life in the region.
Sarah has 3 adult children who tease her incessantly about being Chieftain.
